Do people always say you and your mom look alike? Or can you and your daughter pass as sisters?
To help celebrate Mother's Day, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal is having a mother-daughter look-alike contest.
Simply show those pretty smiles in a photograph. Then, upload it and describe the similarities you have and what you love best about your relationship in 200 words or less.
The submission period ends April 29th at 11:59 pm. Online voting begins 12:00 am April 30th. Ask all your friends and family to vote for you. You may vote as many times as you would like.
The winning mother-daughter combination will receive a prize package to help celebrate Mother's Day.
To enter and to vote, you must register. You can also sign in with your Facebook account if you like. Look for the link above.
You must be 18 years of age or older to submit an entry. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will have to submit the entry for you. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
Winners will be notified by phone by 2pm Wednesday May 9th. Winners must be available for interview and photo session at the A-J on Thursday May 10th, at 1pm. Winners must also be available Saturday May 12th at 2pm for make-up session at Dillard’s Department Store in Lubbock.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
The A-J reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Employees of Morris Communications and Dillard’s Department Store are ineligible.
